My 1st halloween party - by Blake

On Wednesday morning mummy woke me up at 10am as she was getting fed up of waiting. I hadn't woken up once all night but was extremely snotty and my tongue and lips had swollen, I could barely swallow, mummy was going to call dr's but by the time she had changed my nappy it was already going down. By the time I sat down to eat my breakfast I was completely normal again.

I have got a favourite teddy at the minute. Its a hush puppy, I decided to share my breakfast with it!

Wednesday was the Halloween party at playgroup. My costume was a count dracula. Lots of people commented on how good I looked but lots of people also noticed I wasn't quite myself.

Joshua came for the 1st time, he is exactly 1 year younger than me. He was a pumpkin.

Sophia and I fell out over a balloon. She's 3 months younger than me but she put up a good fight!

I was happy with Sophia's balloon!

Rhys was a pumpkin and Lauren was a witch. I think we looked really cool together.

Our new playgroup - by Blake

This morning I sat and watched TV on my potty. I don't like sitting on it naked so mummy said I can practise with my clothes on.
Wednesday's were my favourite day because of playgroup but we had to stop going.
Now there is a new one so we will be going there every week. This is very exciting as it has an indoor and outdoor area. Nearly all of my friends were there. :-D

I love being outside... it was fairly mild today so I didnt need my jacket on until it raained.

I chilled out with my friends Nathan, Rhys and Brad-lee. I look a little bit sad because Nathan crushed my fingers trying to get on the bench, but he didn't mean to!! I am the youngest out of the boys.

When we got home I napped for a little while before dinner. Daddy went to get a tattoo so mummy bathed me, I chucked all my toys on the floor!

My friend Richard - by Mummy

I am going to tell you all about my friend Richard, I hope he doesn't mind. He's a very special friend of mine and is an amazing person. But you know the saying 'bad things happen to good people' well he is a perfect example. His brother is Alan who you may have heard me mention, but he is not to be confused with Blake's godfather as that is a different Richard. Alan and Richard lost their father just a few weeks ago. He died of cancer after being diagnosed around April 2010.

The thing is, Richard also has cancer, he was diagnosed around June 2009. I met Richard properly in May 09 at a car show and we clicked immediately. I remember him complaining of not feeling too well, now we know why! Richards chemotherapy started and his hair fell out a little, we all used to joke about the fact that he had a smooth bum. He always managed to make every one else laugh and smile even when he was feeling like crap. After finishing his treatment it was a bit of a waiting game to see if it had cleared, but he could live a fairly normal life... which meant going out and getting pissed... and the silly sod ended up breaking his foot/leg. When the results came back and he wasn't clear it was a shock to every body, but he managed to stay positive and just looked forwards to his treatment to finish again. This time around the chemo made him more poorly, it was alot more intense, he stayed in alot more.

Richard was in hospital when Blake was born, he had just had a stem cell transplant. He was desperate to meet Blake so we were all delighted when we could go visit him. Blake was 3 days old. He looked so tiny next to Richard, especially because he's a bit of a BFG at over 6ft tall!
It was great to see Richard, he was still so happy and bubbly and it was hard to believe that he had cancer.

Today I went to see Richard, unfortunately he still isn't clear. He has just been informed he has to have another stem cell transplant. This time everything will be even more intense and he will be stuck at home for at least 6 months after spending 6 weeks isolated in hospital. This sucks. I'm so gutted for him and I can tell he's really had enough now... His bubbles seem to have popped! However I am glad Blake seemed to put a smile on his face plenty of times, he is a little rascal after all. I wish I could do or think of something that would bring Richards bubbles back. He knows hes got a tough couple of years ahead of him so I will now be racking my brains to find a solution.

This is also inspiring me to do more for cancer research, think its about time they found a solution. I don't want Richard to suffer any more. He's too nice. He deserves to live a normal life with his girlfriend, friends and family. If only I was god and could put this right...

A new baby!!! - By mummy

I had my friends little girl on Wednesday night, she was an absolute super star and I really enjoyed looking after her. Once we were all dressed and ready to go out on Thursday morning we walked to the local library for Wriggley readers.

After a lovely visit to the library I left Naima with her Uncle and we went to see my friend Kylie, she is a very interesting person to say the least, very loud and outgoing and I think every 1 in the world likes her. We had a big chat and if I could write it all it would be an excellent read but I'm not going to.

The weather on Thursday was freezing! It had dropped down to 13 degrees celsius, yet last Thursday was 28!

On the way home from town I spotted a friend of mine, he was in a new car so I simply text him saying 'Nice car... makes you look fit :-P' I was very shocked when I read my reply. Something about a 2 week old baby and had I heard the news?? After 6 billion questions he told me to come and meet the baby...

As it turns out, Karl, my friend, is now a daddy. Joshua was born exactly a year after Blake on 21/09/11. Karl wasn't aware he was going to be a daddy but I know he is going to make an amazing daddy and will do well by his new family. Amy is a very lucky girl to have such a wonderful man. I am honoured to have grown up with Karl and I'm very excited for the years they have ahead of them!

Summer BBQ - by Blake

On Sunday morning we went swimming, mummy didnt take any pictures, when we got home daddy and I cleaned the car for the car show.

Afterwards we went to Pat's for a BBQ, they have a very beautiful garden!

It was a hot day again and every 1 was sunbathing.

Uncle Alan and I were throwing things in the pool...

I helped myself to every bodies drinks!! This made every body laugh!

A little boy that was there sprayed every 1 with a hose pipe which made every 1 jump up!

Daddy left to go to the car show, I wanted to go so followed him out shouting 'dadda'!

I sat on the swinging benches with every one.

Twinlakes new splash park - by Blake

On Thursday we went to Twinlakes. There was lots of my friends there but I mostly played with Lauren and Rhys, we all played in cars together.

and had lunch togther.

After lunch we went down to the new splash park. It was very big and colourful!

We went down the little slides together, the water was very cold!

Once I got used to the water I was off exploring by myself!

I waited for mummy to come down the flume, it was very funny, she screamed!!

Mummy decided it was time to get out as I was cold so I got dried and dressed. Rhys had the same t shirt as me so he wore it too. Its the same as Oskars too (http://oskarsfirstblog.blogspot.com)

Before mummy had a chance to stop me I decided I wanted to go back in the water!

Eventually I was all tired out so had a nap

Afterwards I was desperate to go back in the water, it was a good job mummy bought more swim clothes!!

Mummy sunbathed with the other mummies and I went off to play by myself! Mummy's friends love how independant I am.

We had a fantastic day, mummy wants to go again at the weekend!!!
