How to visit your little brother in prison for the first time - by mummy

Saturday 3rd March 2012 was an exciting but terrifying day. After my little brother getting nicked over 2 weeks ago and being put on Remand in Lincoln prison I was going to visit him. I had one of his best friends coming with me. Lee lee had only had my mum and dad visit up until now so wasn't expecting me or Rich to visit. It was an hour journey and dad had warned that it took up to an hour to get through security so I left to pick Richard up with plenty of time to spare so we went for Breakfast together.
Getting to the prison was easy enough and once we found the carpark we went and joined a rather large queue. It was quite nerve racking, i couldnt help but feel we were surrounded by scroats and criminals and we shouldn't have been there. There was notices and security warnings every where and I found myself reading everything in detail. We walked with a big group of visitors through the prison, as I looked up i couldnt help but think 'wow' I was on the inside of a prison, the walls were huge! It then started to feel alot like an airport with the metal detecors and conveyor belt things.
When we finally got through and seated it was not like what you expect from watching television!! It's a big room full of comfy sofa/chairs 3 blue ones sat opposite 1 red one. We was given a table number. After a short wait on the blue chairs and looking round at a room slowly filling with stereotypical criminals and their scroaty familys, lee finally appeared!!! I jumped up but unsure whether I was even allowed to touch him I had to ask if I could cuddle him before I threw my arms round him!! His face was the best picture ever!!!! This big massive (slightly goofy) smile that he couldn't seem to wipe off his face. I knew we had made his day!
Whilst visiting there is a canteen and vending machines so I insisted on filling lee up with crap that he cant get whilst inside, so plenty of chocolate and coca cola! We had alot of questions to ask and got lots of answers to what on earth had gone on but before we knew it the 2 hours had finished and we were told to say our goodbye's. I was gutted to be leaving my little brother to go back and sit in a prison cell surrounded by pick axe murderers and thugs. But I knew he was gonna be ok, he's just like his big sister, positive! He had seen that plenty of good could come of this and he had plenty of motivation. And I knew that Richard and I had made his day.
I love my brother. It was a difficult day but it made me so much happier knowing he was gonna get through it!!!! <3

A family sunday - by Blake

Today was a good day. I got to be with mummy and daddy together, all day!
It started off with cuddles in bed, then we watched tv before going food shopping.

We all watched a film together then we took a walk to the pub. Daddy kept pushing me into the bushes!

At the pub they have a garden with a bit of a park but its for big kids.

Daddy tried showing me how to climb but I couldn't do it.

When we got home I played with my cat, Todd, and we shared toys, he was miaowing at me  because he was getting annoyed.

I had tomato pasta bake for dinner, I finished mine then finished mummy's and daddy's too! When daddy went to run my bath I played peekaboo with mummy!

I wish we had more days like today, we didn't do much but I had my mummy and my daddy :-D

A family walk - by Blake

On Saturday morning mummy and I went to great Nanny's for breakfast. When we got home daddy had finished work so we went into town and met nanny and pappy. We went to cafe nero for a drink.

It was market day so very busy, I got to walk holding mummy and daddy's hands.

I enjoyed spending time as a family, but it didnt last long because mummy had to go to work. After my bath I went to a house party with daddy but I was too tired to stay out for long.

Naima's 3rd birthday - by mummy

On Sunday we took a walk to the car boot so Graham could have a lie in after going out for a few Saturday night. My dad was doing a car boot and I had given him a few items to sell, though I didn't expect to sell much as it was all fairly decent stuff that I weren't selling for nothing, just as well I made £2.50!! We stopped to take a couple of photo's on the way home.

Monday was Naima's birthday so on our return we headed over to Leicester to a children's play area called 'gokidsgo' to celebrate. We were running late and hit lots of traffic because of the Leicester Marathon, then spent another 5 minutes trying to park and another 15 queueing to get in (despite there only being 1 family in front of us!!) So by the time we were in Naima and her friends had been playing for an hour! I then spent 15 minutes queueing to get food as there was one person serving and making hot drinks, then it took another half an hour for the over priced cheap nasty pizza, garlic bread and onion rings! By the time we were ready to go and play they had to leave as you're only allowed to stay for 2 hours... honestly, what a pile of crap!! Despite the service being just disgusting we had a nice couple of hours as the play area was great!

When we got home Graham went for a lie down whilst Blake and I played with his train set before the usual dinner, bath, bed routine.

Sunset in the park - by Blake

Monday's are Nanny days. I spent the day with Nanny while mummy was at work.
Mummy picked me up and we went home and had dinner.
Daddy suggested we go to the park which was a great idea because it's not very often I get to spend time with mummy AND daddy, usually its one or the other :-(

The nights are drawing in now so the sun was setting whilst I played.

I got stuck going down the slide, mummy said some selfish scroats had poured something sticky down it!

Daddy and I searched for conkers. Daddy wants them to keep the spiders out of the house.

Soon it was getting dark so we walked home, I didnt want to get in my push chair!

Return of summer - by Blake

I didn't really see mummy on Monday as it was Nanny day then daddy picked me up because mum had to stay at work. I saw her before bed.
On Tuesday mummy dropped me off at Nursery, daddy picked me up, I didnt get to see mummy then until Wednesday, but she tucked me in Tuesday night.

On Wednesday mummy spent alot of time tidying up, I wanted to go in the bathroom, I like chucking things in the bath.

Afterwards we went in the garden for a while, I played in my splash pit.

I lost my shoe so I left footprints when I walked off.
